The flowers and butterfly are machine appliquéd and the butterfly trail is embroidered on to the front of the quilt to give it extra detailing. The appliques are outlined quilted and then a grid is quilted around them. The first border is a free hand flower and loop pattern, and the second border is a free hand loop pattern, so no two will be exactly the same.
