This quilt was inspired by an antique quilt. I added the applique and the piping and modernized it with modern batik fabrics. Gold silk thread was used to accent all the quilting. Free hand feathers and echos with pebbles and other assorted background fillers were used around the outside ot the quilt. Vases filled with flowers and feathers accent each corner and are highlighted with hot fix crystals. This quilt won HM at MQS 2013, and 1st Place MixIed Techniques/2nd Place best use of Decorative threads/Best overall Bed quilt at the 2013 NE state Fair, and 1st Place in the Professional category at MQ Today. In 2014, it took Best in County, and Best Longarm Quilting at the Lancaster county fair, 3rd placae and a teacher's ribbon at MQX and a Teacher's ribbon at HMQS. It was featured in the Nov issue of Machine Quilting Unlimited 2014.
