The Dream Catcher figures prominently in the culture of Native Americans. The web design represents strength and courage; the beads on the web the spider as web weaver. The quilting in the dream catcher and in the horses incorporate original Native American designs. The background is quilted with designs that represent tribal culture and history. In 2013 this Quilt won HM at MQS, Best use of Decorative Threads, 1st Place Original Design, Best Longarm Quilter, Best of Division, and Best of Show at the NE State Fairand 2nd at MQX. In 2014, it won BOS at the NW Quilting Expo, 2nd at Shipshewana, 2nd at Machine Quilting Today, 1st at Dallas Quilt show, and HM at DIQF.. It was inspired by a Jody Bergsma drawing.
