This quilt was based off a dragon that I drew for my oldest son. It is done on black kona cotton. The dragon and the flames are trapuntoed and then quilted with variegated thread. The world is done with blue and green variegated thread to show the water and different continents. The background is done in micro McTavishing and the border is outline quilted around the Chinese characters with added free motion flames.
